Hello Doctor,  Case ID - 11005, Yedu S Kumar aged 8 yrs. There is a new in TOI today about Diphtheria vaccination in schools. DPT for kids aged 5-6 yrs and TD for kids aged 7-16. I have taken all the reccommended vaccination as per your vaccination chart and his last vaccination was Thyphoid Conjugate done in Nov 17. His next vaccination per your vaccination record is Tdap at the age of 10 yrs. Please advice if I need to take TD as per govt reccommendation. If so I can visit your clinic.

Regards,

Parent of Yedu S Kumar

Hello Doctor, My Son Prajwal Rao had got 10 years vaccination (Tetanus and Typhoid) on last Saturday (4th Feb 2017), and now in school they are asking consent for the new Rubella Measles vaccination. Is it OK for him to take this vaccination now again. I concerned as he had taken the Vaccination just a few days before though it is different one. Case ID 677.

For Deeraj S, 6 years 10 months old, case is 8718 Doctor, I seek your recommendation for Rubella Measles vaccine being planned to administer through schools in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and some other states in February month for children up to 15 years of age through government.
Hi Srinivasan. Thanks for writing in. Yes. I would strongly recommend that you get it done. For more details, I would like to direct you to my Facebook page post https://www.facebook.com/drnaveenkini/posts/1333205353409529 If convinced, please share this knowledge among your friends. We need all parents to get their children to participate, in order to make this campaign a success, and eradicate the two illnesses, Measles and Rubella, from our country, like we have done with Polio

Is it safe to use ODOMOS cream every day for kids?
Only on the parts that you cannot cover with clothes, when you are taking the child outside. Wash it off the moment you reach inside. Inside the house, use other preventive measures.
